Overall Responsibilities

Supervise warehouse and janitorial personnel and activities ensuring efficient and safe receipt, storage and handling of materials and supplies. Ensure compliance with GMP standards for warehouse operations as well as MRP inventory control and accuracy performance.

Specific Key Responsibilities & Duties


  • Maintain safe and efficient warehouse operations.
  • Ensure materials are available to operating departments as required.
  • Maintain and create accurate Standard Operating Procedures and One Point Lessons
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices and compliance standards are consistently met.
  • Control material inventories ensuring accuracy and prompt disposition of rejected supplies.
  • Control and maintain appropriate shipping documentation.
  • Provide support for the inventory cycle count program
  • To work in concert with Inventory Control to support GMP and accuracy goals.
  • of Material Requirements Planning to determine component and raw material levels
  • MRP data to coordinate movement of components and raw materials
  • shipping documents for subcontractor work orders
  • in compliance with the company’s Health & Safety Policies/SOP’s including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities Procedure.
  • Will comply with Good Manufacturing Practices in all GMP sensitive areas of Jamieson Laboratories Ltd. facilities.
  • Daily review of hourly payroll, attendance policies and time off requests.
  • Complete walk through on the floor to ensure safety and proficiency a minimum of 50% of shift
  • Special projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements

  • education in related discipline complimented by professional development in warehouse management and supervisory skills training.
  • years’ experience in a unionized environment in a warehouse supervisory or leadership position.
  • experience with an MRP system and Microsoft Office applications.
  • knowledge of employee safety requirements in a warehouse operation.
  • in SOP writing and GMP compliance in a warehouse environment.
  • to work and direct others in an organized and safe environment
  • to walk long distances for prolonged periods of time
  • in inter-personal, teamwork and communication skills
  • adaptable, and motivated towards continuous improvement.
  • reactive problem-solving skills.
  • driver’s license
  • license not required but is an asset.
  • to work all shifts as required including weekend work.
