Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiver to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse distribution center, ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately processed and stored. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities * Load and unload shipments from delivery trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods. * Accurately receive, inspect, and document incoming inventory against purchase orders. * Maintain organization within the warehouse by properly storing received items in designated locations. * Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock. * Assist with order fulfillment by picking and packing items as needed. * Perform basic math calculations to verify quantities and ensure accuracy in inventory records. * Operate material handling equipment such as reach trucks safely and efficiently. * Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and safe working environment. * Participate in regular inventory audits and assist in resolving discrepancies. Experience * Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred. * Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including MRP systems, is advantageous. * Proficiency in using AS400 or similar software for inventory management is a plus. * Basic math skills are essential for verifying shipments and maintaining accurate records. * Experience operating reach trucks or other material handling equipment is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
