This individual is essential in driving business growth while maintaining the efficient and effective operation of the warehouse and distribution processes. Additionally, the Operations Manager is responsible for supervising, training, and coaching department personnel to foster a high-performing team.</p><p><strong><u>Position Description</u></strong></p><ul><li>Assist in planning and coordinating various aspects of revenue/sales activities and operations within the Warehouse/Distribution area.</li><li>Ensure smooth daily operations, adhering to all company policies and procedures.</li><li>Oversee vendor and supplier relationships, ensuring timely compensation and continued alignment with company needs.</li><li>Track cargo and coordinate with both company and customer carriers.</li><li>Maintain direct communication with clients to address needs and concerns.</li><li>Supervise the receipt, handling, distribution, and storage of all freight, products, and supplies entering and exiting the warehouse.</li><li>Instruct Warehouse/Distribution staff to ensure timely shipment of production orders in line with delivery schedules.</li><li>Assist in maintaining strict control over inventory levels and ensure proper documentation of all transactions in accordance with company SOPs.</li><li>Contribute to the development and enforcement of corporate policies related to security and safety, maintaining a safe working environment.</li><li>Lead and oversee a team of warehouse employees, including delegating tasks, training, coaching, planning, and evaluating performance.</li><li>Foster open communication between management, staff, and customers in a respectful, effective, and professional manner.</li><li>Adhere to safe warehouse practices, identify potential hazards, and recommend improvements where necessary.</li><li>Report any work-related injuries or accidents to the Manager.</li><li>Ensure the warehouse is maintained in a neat, orderly, and efficient manner.</li><li>Perform various other duties as required.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p><ul><li>Extensive working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management within the 3PL industry.</li><li>Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams.</li><li>Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to motivate, guide, and develop a high-performing team.</li><li>Excellent networking and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with clients, partners, and colleagues.</li><li>Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations, consistently meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities.</li><li>Proficient in interpreting and acting upon complex instructions to ensure operational efficiency and client satisfaction.</li><li>Solid project management skills, with experience in overseeing logistics projects from inception to completion.</li><li>Skilled in safely operating forklifts and other cargo-moving machinery in compliance with safety standards and regulations.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Education</u></strong></p><p>University degree / college diploma in logistics and supply chain management or a related field, or combination or education and experience.</p><p><strong><u>Additional Information</u></strong></p><ul><li>Job Type - Permanent, Full-Time</li><li>Job Categories - Logistics/Distribution/Warehousing</li><li>Manages Others - Yes</li><li>Required Travel - No</li><li>Relocation Assistance - No</li></ul><p><strong><u>Learn More About the Recruiter</u></strong></p><p><strong>Syeda Saher, SHRM-CP </strong>brings a wealth of recruiting experience to the forefront, skillfully navigating the intricacies of talent acquisition across diverse industries and functions.
