Salary Range: $72,300 – $90,000, depending on experience, education, skills, and location.

Job Purpose

EnerSys, through Alpha Technologies Ltd., seeks a dynamic Warehouse Manager for our Burnaby facility to oversee shipping and warehouse operations. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you’ll develop and implement best practices to ensure safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Work Environment

The warehouse operates in two shifts: 6:45am-3:15pm and 9:30am-6:00pm. The role typically requires 7:30 am to 4:00 pm hours, with occasional overtime.



Responsibilities

  • Ensure health and safety compliance and equipment maintenance
  • Train staff on safety and equipment use
  • Manage warehouse team including supervisors and staff
  • Promote teamwork and employee involvement
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, including cycle counts and root cause analysis
  • Implement corrective actions for inventory issues
  • Train material handlers on best practices
  • Coordinate physical inventory audits
  • Work with production to manage material flow and inventory accuracy
  • Oversee shipping operations ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Plan staffing to meet production and shipping demands
  • Implement performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean and 5S
  • Manage budgets effectively

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma in a related field, with at least 5 years of warehousing leadership experience
  • Materials or Operations Management Diploma or CPIM certification preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems
  • Experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Lean and 5S principles
  • Experience managing up to 20 employees
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Hands-on management style
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and equipment maintenance
