Warehouse Associate

Our client in the Brampton location (Goreway and Queen) is looking for a Warehouse Associate.

Shift: 6am – 2:30pm – Monday to Friday

Pay: $20/hr

This is for full time associates on a Workpermit

The candidate MUST have forklift experience/or a valid Forklift license

Job description:

Responsible for picking and packing customer orders meeting customer requirements.

Also responsible for receiving material and placing in appropriate areas of the warehouse and checking shipping and receiving lists to ensure accuracy.

Additional responsibilities include ensuring complete inventory accuracy through use of warehouse locator systems.

Warehouse safety and cleanliness must be adhered to by using protective equipment, operating equipment safely and performing necessary warehouse housekeeping tasks.

Job Responsibilities: – Receive, verify, unpack and sort incoming materials in an organized fashion

Process and pack incoming customer orders in preparation for shipping

Provide service to walk-in customers

Maintain accurate inventory records through the use of an on inventory locator control system

Safe operation of warehousing equipment in accordance with safety procedures

Provide some backup to office personnel on occasion

Maintain warehouse safety and cleanliness

Safety Equipment Requirement: The wearing of appropriate safety equipment as described below is a condition of employment and not one of choice. Safety equipment that must be worn while performing job responsibilities are as follows: – Safety Boots – Safety Glasses – Safety Apron, gloves and Mask while conducting forklift battery maintenance

Education and Skill Requirement: – High school diploma or educational equivalent –

Valid/current forklift certification —Standup Counterbalance – On the job training (min 18 months warehouse experience preferred)
