They focus in all aspects of development, including land development, design, construction, financing and even property management. Your new role

The current role is for a Vice President of Industrial Development who will work out of their Toronto office and focus on supporting the company’s growth plans in the Greater Toronto Area.

This will be a leadership position within the Ontario business and play a key role in execution of the current and future pipeline and the development of the team under them. They will manage acquisition and development opportunities, as well as municipal approval processes for industrial projects from conception through to purchase or tenant turnover. They will review development proformas, legal contracts and oversee engagement of consultants while working with the existing team to facilitate applications and nurture relationships with local officials.

They will lead the project team, work with marketing, prepare and communicate project progress reports to ownership and most importantly take a role in mentoring all members of the Toronto office.

What you’ll need to succeed

The successful Vice President – Industrial Development candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of Senior Executive experience with rezone, subdivision, Site Plan Approval and Building permit process experience in a variety of municipalities. They will have experience as a development professional in land and building acquisition and a strong understanding of legal contracts and title documents. Furthermore they will be an effective communicator and leader who can present effectively to senior level management and develop high functioning relationships with diverse personalities within and outside the company.

Finally they will be proficient in Yardi and P6 scheduling and sound in Microsoft Office Suite.
