Position Criteria:
-We are seeking a talented and experienced Vehicle Painter with a minimum of three years of post-trade experience. In this role, you will:
-Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, cleaning, and applying primer as required.
-Mix and match paints to achieve precise color accuracy, adhering to client or manufacturer specifications.
-Apply paint using various techniques, including spray guns, ensuring a smooth and flawless finish.
-Perform touch-ups and repairs to maintain the aesthetic and quality of vehicle surfaces.
-Inspect completed work for quality control, ensuring a professional and long-lasting finish.
-Utilize specialized tools and equipment, maintaining them in excellent working condition.
-Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
-Keep accurate records of materials used and work completed for future reference.
-Stay informed about the latest advancements in painting techniques, tools, and materials.
-Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to workplace health and safety standards.
Requirements:
-Relevant trade qualifications: Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or equivalent.
-Proven experience in automotive painting, including surface preparation and spray painting.
-Strong understanding of paint mixing, matching, and application techniques.
-Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
-Excellent time management and organizational skills.
-Knowledge of safety standards and procedures related to automotive painting.
-Prior experience with custom paintwork or decorative finishes is highly desirable.
