Position Criteria:
-We are seeking an experienced and skilled Vehicle Body Builder with at least three years of post-trade experience. As part of our team, you will:
-Construct, repair, and modify vehicle bodies, including trucks, buses, trailers, and other specialized vehicles.
-Design and fabricate custom vehicle body components, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
-Conduct structural repairs and modifications, including welding, riveting, and assembly of metal and fiberglass materials.
-Fit and install components such as doors, windows, and internal fixtures to ensure proper functionality and durability.
-Diagnose and resolve structural and bodywork issues efficiently and effectively.
-Work from technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise construction and assembly.
-Maintain and operate workshop tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
-Adhere to workplace health and safety standards at all times.
-Keep detailed records of materials used and work completed for accountability and reference.
-Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver high-quality results within specified timeframes.
-Stay updated with advancements in vehicle body construction techniques and materials.
Requirements:
-Relevant trade qualifications: Certificate III in Automotive Manufacturing Technical Operations Bus, Truck, and Trailer or equivalent.
-Demonstrated experience with welding, fabrication, and general bodywork repair.
-Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
-A positive attitude and commitment to producing high-quality work.
-Experience working on custom vehicle body projects is advantageous but not essential.
