A continued emphasis on the development of a representative workforce is one of Sask Polytech's strategic priorities and, as an organization, we are making significant efforts to attract and retain Indigenous employees.</p><h2>Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA)</h2><br><p>Job Duties</p><p>Job Duties</p><ol><li>Control, dispense, and maintain the inventory of Stores' tools, equipment, supplies, textbooks, and service manuals. </li><li>Coach and support pre-employment and four levels of apprenticeship students. Assist students on a daily basis in identifying tools, parts, supplies, and in parts ordering procedures. </li><li>Coordinate and initiate purchases which include but are not limited to supplies, parts, and capital equipment following correct procurement procedures. </li><li>Coordinate replacement and/or repair of damaged or broken tools, equipment, and training vehicles. </li><li>Manage AET resale accounts by controlling and completing work orders, and ordering and receiving parts and supplies. </li><li>Receive and verify all supply and parts orders against invoices/packing slips and requisitions for completeness and accuracy. </li><li>Reconcile credit card statements for AET program and resale accounts. </li><li>Maintain electronic and paper filing systems for AET program. </li><li>Maintain Stores' area in a safe, clean, orderly manner. </li><li>Assist Program Head and Instructors with administrative matters relating to AET, apprenticeship training, and contract training, to maintain a positive learning environment.</li></ol><p>QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE</p><p>Specific Accountabilities</p><p>Duties</p><p>Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)</p><ol><li>Complete Grade 12 and completion of a one year trade certification for storekeepers or partspersons, i.e. Parts Management Technician program or an equivalent combination of recent and relevant education, training and experience. </li><li>Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, operations and controls, and inventory control. </li><li>Working knowledge of general accounting and financial management processes. </li><li>Training and/or experience at the intermediate level with database and spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail and internet. </li><li>Knowledge of automotive tools and equipment and acquisition processes for the procurement of automotive parts, supplies and services. </li><li>Valid driver's license. </li><li>Two years experience in all activities related to stockroom or stores operations. </li><li>Effective organizational and time management skills. </li><li>Effective interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. </li><li>Ability to handle heavy/awkward objects on a regular basis. </li><li>Demonstrates valuing diversity.</li></ol><p>Desired QSA</p>Create Your Resume First
