<p><h3>Overview</h3>
<p>Join to apply for the Temporary Store Manager role at Hot Topic. We’re passionate about music, pop culture, and creating an amazing in-store experience for customers and employees. You’ll lead the store to achieve objectives related to sales, recruiting, development, and performance management, and you’ll advocate for talent development and outstanding customer service.</p>
<h3>What You'll Do</h3>
<ul>
<li>Ensure the store achieves the sales plan and / or comparable store sales goals.</li>
<li>Recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative and passionate team to run the store.</li>
<li>Lead customer engagement through social media, store web applications, and clienteling.</li>
<li>Maintain an operationally sound business with appropriate structure, delegation, autonomy, and customer-first selling practices.</li>
<li>Monitor shrink, loss prevention, payroll hours, schedules, and external factors affecting the business.</li>
<li>Collaborate with retail leadership and HQ on trends and customer feedback.</li>
<li>Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy to hit sales targets.</li>
<li>Adapt to new technologies, communicate company policies, and manage supply ownership (spending as needed).</li>
<li>Merchandise the store using planograms as guidance and launch promotions on time.</li>
<li>Mentor, recognize, and provide feedback to build a bench of talented staff.</li>

<h3>What You'll Need</h3>
<ul>
<li>At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience with a track record of leading teams to success; strong skills in communication, recruiting, and operations (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising).</li>
<li>A high school diploma or GED; a degree is a plus.</li>
<li>Ability to adapt in a fast-changing retail environment; comfortable handling curveballs.</li>
<li>Open-minded and inquisitive regarding pop culture fandoms & music trends.</li>
<li>Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products with approved equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.</li>
</ul>
