Role Description The County of Grande Prairie is seeking a Temporary Communications Advisor for a hybrid role, located in County of Grande Prairie 1, AB, with flexibility for some remote work. The successful candidate will support the communications team with day-to-day tasks related to internal and external communications, marketing, public relations, and social media.

This is a temporary role with an expected duration of six months. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related fieldMinimum of two years of experience in a communications or public relations roleExcellent oral and written communication skillsExperience in digital marketing or social media managementKnowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), Microsoft Office Suite, web development and CMS platformsExcellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing prioritiesAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being able to work independentlyExperience with local government is an assetAbility to work occasional evenings or weekends
