This is primarily an on-site position in Downtown Vancouver (4x a week in the office). Candidates must be in British Columbia to be considered for this role.

In this Technical Trainer position, you will be working at a leading law firm in Downtown Vancouver. You will be reporting to the Director of IT and will be supporting internal users. This company has locations around Canada, and their client base includes a variety of Fortune 500 companies.

About 50% of your position will be Desktop Support, and 50% of your position will include training and onboarding.

You will help onboard new users, and you will provide reinforcement training / ad hoc training as well. For example, if there are some frequently asked questions (FAQs), then you can provide sessions for those. You will provide a mix of individual learning, group, and virtual sessions. You’ll be producing a variety of learning materials as well.

For example, you can develop guidebooks or other materials. The other part of your role will be helpdesk support. You will provide Level 1 triage, and help with issues such as login problems, or if someone can’t connect to printers.

In this role, you can grow your skills as a trainer, and develop a new onboarding program for this firm. You will have the opportunity to spearhead this project, and customize the system based on what users need.

In terms of technology, they are a Microsoft shop.

You will support with MS Office 10 and Office 365. They are using a few applications that are specific to the legal industry, such as iManage and Elite 3E. It will be helpful to have previous experience in the legal industry, and you must have previous experience with Office 365 and Windows 10.
