Title: Technical Product Owner (Platform & Data)

Our client is a fast-growing, private equity-backed fintech delivering innovative risk, trading, and analytics solutions to financial institutions. Their platform combines derivatives execution, data infrastructure, and capital markets expertise to support banks, asset managers, and corporate clients across North America.
They are now hiring a Technical Product Owner to help drive their next phase of growth. This is a high-impact role focused on aligning data, platform, and analytics projects with company OKRs and long-term strategy.
You’ll work closely with development teams, product leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to shape the technical roadmap and bring critical initiatives to life.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define and manage the product backlog for internal platform, data, and integration initiatives
- Translate business needs into technical requirements with clear acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
- Monitor and communicate progress on technical initiatives to internal stakeholders and leadership
- Evaluate the client and business impact of infrastructure and data projects
- Produce and maintain clear documentation, including release notes and product descriptions
- Align dependencies across teams to support successful implementation and adoption
Essential Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in technical product management, project ownership, or platform delivery
- Background in fintech or financial services, ideally within capital markets
- Strong understanding of platform integration, data architecture, and performance optimization
- Proven success in leading agile teams and delivering technical initiatives
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and business audiences
Desirable Experience:
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, modern data platforms, or internal tooling
- Exposure to derivatives, risk management, or institutional trading technology
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar agile delivery platforms
