Teaching in Guatemala | ECE, Kindergarten & Elementary Positions Available

Our client is a non-profit, international preK-6 school located in Panajachel, Guatemala on the shores of beautiful Lake Atitlan. We are committed to providing quality education to the local population, who are mostly indigenous of Mayan descent.

The positions are a full-time teaching position for a 10-month academic year from August 2019 to June 2020. Contracts for continued employment will be offered for additional years based on performance, as we love to have teachers who are interested in being around for more than a year.

Available positions include:

  • ECE Classroom Educators
  • Kindergarten Teacher
  • Homeroom Elementary Teachers

The majority of our students enter our school with little to no English, and we are therefore looking for teachers with a bilingual/ELL/immersion background. We have specials teachers who give classes in Spanish and physical education.

Please note that in order to apply for teaching positions at LIFE School, you must have a degree in early childhood, elementary, or secondary education, and/or be state-certified.

The school will provide transportation from Guatemala City airport and will also help the new teachers in finding accommodations.

  • Experience working with English Language Learners
