Compounded by COVID-19, aging populations, and staff burnout, nurses increasingly seek to leave the profession. Transferring patients (moving patients between beds, stretches, and imaging tables) requires several nurses and risks injury every time. At Able Innovations, we are developing cutting-edge robotic devices to automate this process to offer safe, efficient, and dignified care. We are looking for individuals who want to develop intelligent, robust, and particle systems that we can deliver globally to combat this public health crisis.
About the position At Able Innovations Inc., we aim to innovate and create revolutionary technology to provide greater independence and mobility for people with disabilities. As a start-up company, we are quickly growing and looking for new team members who are driven, passionate, and hard-working. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in supply chain management, tracking and scheduling orders of technical components, communicating with suppliers and clients, and ensuring delivery deadlines are met. The candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and business administrators at various experience levels.
The candidate will have many opportunities to showcase their skills and take on additional responsibilities leading to rapid career development and growth. Some example activities may include but are not limited to, supplier identification, cost and payment term optimization, onshoring, and strategic supplier negotiations. To succeed, the candidate must be passionate about their work with a “do whatever-it-takes attitude.” Job Qualifications & Requirements: Attained or completed 3 out of 4 years necessary for a degree in Supply Chain management, business administration, technology, office management, or similar related fields Experience working within the organized and systematic supply chain and logistics programs Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success Highly detail-oriented Affinity for working with numbers and doing basic numerical calculations Experienced with basic accounting software such as Quickbooks online Experience with ERP software implementation Understanding of the process of declaration and clearance of goods through customs agencies, and the trade agreements governing them such as USMCA Experience in the selection of Harmonized System (HS) Codes Understanding of business-level goods purchasing workflow Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Team player Good time-management skills and self-prioritization Great interpersonal and communication skills Bonus Skills: Fluency in Mandarin Past startup experience Experience working in technical or technology-related fields A successful candidate will exhibit the following qualities: Take ownership: Take responsibility and accountability for your tasks Proactive: When a challenge or problem is identified, you actively seek ways to address or mitigate it Resourceful: Find creative ways to solve problems and think out of the box Adaptable: Able to respond to rapidly changing project requirements Application Requirements: Please submit your resume, cover letter, and below questionnaire in a single pdf document with the naming format “SCC202308_Firstname_Lastname”.
