CDN is a recognized industry leader in the energy services sector, providing E&I maintenance, renewables/solar, major projects, combustion & emissions reduction, and measurement.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Monitor the costs, productivity, and scheduling associated with the instrumentation department.</li><li>Monitor project expenses to ensure all budget requirements are met.</li><li>Maximize manpower while utilizing skills, materials, and resources to achieve efficiencies.</li><li>Work with service managers to ensure all maintenance and construction jobs have the required manpower and skills to meet client expectations.</li><li>Maintain relationships with internal and external parties (employees, managers/owners & customers).</li><li>Be proactive and identify opportunities to drive growth in coordination with the branch manager.</li><li>Conduct site visits periodically.</li><li>Build rapport with Instrument Technician Apprentices and Journeyman to understand skills and strengths for a strong team.</li><li>Support the Estimating team in Instrument estimates when needed.</li><li>Comply with CDN Controls Health & Safety Manual standards and procedures.</li><li>Understand customer work order system requirements and communicate field technicians’ after-hours activity and safe travel monitoring.</li><li>Plan and maintain on-call schedule.</li><li>Promote service programs, policies and processes with field service personnel and ensure execution.</li><li>Ensure service trucks are properly maintained and in good working order.</li><li>Assist in developing annual plans for the service department and measure performance monthly.</li><li>Ensure repair completion by providing necessary tools, supplies, parts and troubleshooting guidance.</li><li>Work directly with Instrument Manager to support.</li><li>All other duties as assigned.</li></ul><h3>Job Requirements</h3><ul><li>3-5 years of Industrial Instrumentation construction/maintenance field work.</li><li>Valid class 5 license with a clean driver’s abstract.</li><li>Must pass Drug and Alcohol Test.</li><li>Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Outlook, Word).</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills.</li><li>Ability to deal with difficult people/situations with a calm demeanor.</li><li>Flexibility in accommodating extra hours.</li></ul><h3>Our employment benefits</h3><ul><li>Belonging to a strong, motivating team.</li><li>On-the-job training and a commitment to mentorship from industry-leading professionals.</li><li>Competitive pay, benefits, and RRSP-matching program.</li><li>Generous vacation and flex days.</li><li>Opportunities for advancement.</li></ul><h3>Values</h3><ul><li>Character.</li><li>Connection.</li><li>Drive.</li><li>Growth.</li></ul><p>Apply today at www.cdncontrols.ca/careers.
