Position Description:
- Liaise with Manufacturing Team members and Leadership related to a Lean Project assigned to the selected Students
- Conduct analysis with multiple departments related to the project scope as defined by Leadership
- Communicate with Team Members regarding the problem statement and collect opportunities /solutions
- Develop a project plan with tasks and timelines
- Coordinate / facilitate internal meetings with key subject matter experts related to project goals
- Interface with Managers and Senior Leaders to report project status
- Provide a presentation with your recommendations and solutions
- Retain all documentation related to the project for ongoing use within the business
- Provide a final presentation on your experience with Land Systems Canada during your summer. What you were able to both learn & take away from the experience
Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled in University Degree or College Diploma program in relevant discipline. Manufacturing Technologist, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Business Admin, Manufacturing Operations,
- Demonstrate ability to work independently
- Demonstrated organizational, analytical and decision-making skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products, particularly in Excel, Power Point, Word
- Demonstrated proficiency in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management skills / experience
- Basic understanding of process analysis
- Basic knowledge of Lean Principles
- Advanced Level proficiency in Software Systems integration
