<p><h3>About the Role</h3>
<p><b>Structural Engineer (Temporary Structures)</b> – We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of various structures, including temporary structures. Your skills will be used in projects such as construction, events, and other temporary installations. This role requires a strong understanding of structural engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.</p>
<h3>Duties & Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Design and analyze temporary structures such as scaffolding, shoring, formwork, and other support systems;</li>
<li>Perform site inspections to review general compliance to contract drawings;</li>
<li>Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for temporary structures;</li>
<li>Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with relevant codes and standards;</li>
<li>Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to develop effective temporary structure solutions;</li>
<li>Perform site inspections to ensure proper installation and compliance with design specifications;</li>
<li>Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams during the erection and dismantling of temporary structures;</li>
<li>Prepare and review technical reports, documentation, and project proposals;</li>
<li>Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in temporary structures engineering;</li>
<li>Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field;</li>
<li>Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration;</li>
<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on temporary structures;</li>
<li>Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD Pro, RISA) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit);</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations;</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;</li>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills;</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team;</li>
<li>Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed;</li>
<li>Certification in scaffold design and safety is considered an asset.</li>
</ul>
