This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on supporting both development and certification testing—key to the successful launch of advanced technologies including <strong>eVTOL platforms</strong>. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in <strong>systems engineering, test operations, and regulatory compliance</strong>, combined with a strong, collaborative approach to problem-solving.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Lead the development of test infrastructure, methodologies, and operational principles for new aircraft technologies</p></li><li><p>Build and maintain engineering test facilities to support both development and certification testing phases</p></li><li><p>Define and execute comprehensive test strategies across multiple systems and subsystems</p></li><li><p>Oversee test coverage, reliability, safety, and system integrity during all phases of testing</p></li><li><p>Design, assemble, and operate mechanical and electrical test rigs and instrumentation systems</p></li><li><p>Lead integration efforts and troubleshoot complex hardware and system-level issues</p></li><li><p>Work cross-functionally with engineering teams to ensure test plans align with design and certification goals</p></li><li><p>Apply systems-thinking approaches and first-principles engineering to develop scalable test solutions</p></li><li><p>Influence the structure and growth of the internal test organization and mentor junior team members</p></li><li><p>Ensure all test activities comply with safety standards and regulatory certification requirements</p></li><li><p>Take a hands-on role in rig and facility builds—this is not a desk-only position</p></li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>8–10 years</strong> of experience in engineering roles focused on <strong>Test & Instrumentation</strong>, <strong>Systems Engineering</strong>, or similar disciplines</p></li><li><p>At least <strong>5 years</strong> of direct systems engineering experience within the <strong>aerospace</strong> or <strong>automotive</strong> industry</p></li><li><p>Proven track record working across the full development lifecycle—concept, integration, testing, and certification</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience with test systems, instrumentation, and hardware-in-the-loop testing</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with <strong>eVTOL platforms</strong> and certification requirements is preferred</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and practices including <strong>TCCA</strong>, <strong>FAA</strong>, and <strong>EASA</strong></p></li><li><p>Experience working within industry guidelines such as <strong>ARP4754</strong>, <strong>ARP4761</strong>, or equivalent standards</p></li><li><p>Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and leadership skills</p></li><li><p>Comfortable with hands-on work in a test facility environment</p></li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Experience building out new test labs or scaling existing test infrastructure</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with aircraft electrification, propulsion systems, or advanced mobility platforms</p></li><li><p>Background in developing automated testing tools and data acquisition systems</p></li><li><p>Strong interpersonal and team-building skills</p></li></ul><p><strong>What’s Offered:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Competitive base salary: <strong>$150,000 – $180,000 CAD</strong></p></li><li><p>Generous paid vacation and holidays</p></li><li><p>Group benefits plan and company profit-sharing</p></li><li><p>Flexible hybrid work schedule</p></li><li><p>Opportunity to shape the test and certification approach for cutting-edge aerospace systems</p></li></ul><p>If you are a hands-on, senior-level engineer ready to take ownership of a world-class aerospace test environment, apply now to join this high-impact team in <strong>Lindsay, Ontario</strong>.</p><p><strong>Presented by TriMech Staff Augmentation</strong></p><p> TriMech Staff Augmentation is a specialized engineering staffing partner connecting top-tier technical talent with leading organizations.
