We seek an energetic and motivated SolutionsArchitect for our Calgary Branch who will utilize strong business and technical consulting skills to develop solutions that solve business challenges while creating desired outcomes! You will play an integral role in delivering cutting-edge solutions and work with Account Managers to support projects and optimize sales opportunities in key accounts.Must be local to Calgary or willing to relocate.

A Day in the Life:

• Designing and implementing industry-leading technical solutions by understanding client requirements through your savvy consulting skills, both business and technical
• Develop complete customer-focused technology solutions for current and new service offerings
• Create detailed documentation including conceptual design, logical design, physical design, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, transition to operations information
• Work as a subject matter expert to deliver projects from initiation through to successful implementation
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance, demonstrations, and product education as required
• Meet with clients to determine needs and/or identify problem areas
• Work with Long View business units and practices to ensure sales opportunities progress efficiently and in a timely fashion toward successful closure
• Document and develop in-depth knowledge of the project-based solution architecture, and technology portfolio in a standard format such as Solutions Architecture Design Document (SADD)
• Designing, modifying, and testing technical architecture and documenting the details in SADD as per the processes.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of the project solution development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost-effectiveness and functional flexibility.
• Support and mentor team by offering technical leadership and support as required
• Act as a trusted advisor to your clients and team

What You Bring:

• 6+ years of experience working as a subject matter expert in at least 2 technology areas (Microsoft, cloud, Data Center Architecture and networking), one of which must be Microsoft
• Advanced level understanding of a wide range of technologies such as: Server, Exchange, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP/LDAP, ADFS, Office 365, Azure, Skype for Business, System Center Suite and Intune
• Excellent understanding of Video Management Systems and Access Control
• Previous experience in Cloud to Cloud Applications
• Experience with Networking (Switch, Fiber etc.) connectivity and capacity planning
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and Vendor management
• Capability to articulate how technical features of solutions result in tangible business benefits
• Ability to facilitate impactful workshops (envisioning workshops, art-of-the-possible sessions)
• Familiarity with the sales process and willingness to work within the approved Long View processes
• Previous experience responding and assisting with RFPs, RFQs and RFIs
• Demonstrated life-long learner who is motivated to stay relevant in area of expertise
• Solution-focused mindset and creative thinker
• Strong consulting, collaboration and leadership skills
