Our client is a high-growth Canadian organization in the financial services sector and they're undergoing major digital transformation initiatives. They are looking for a skilled Solution Architect to join their Enterprise Architecture team.
This is a role for an experienced architect who thrives in fast-paced environments where innovation, scalability, and security are top priorities. You'll take ownership of end-to-end solution design for complex programs, bringing together technical depth and business insight to deliver impactful, enterprise-wide systems.
What you'll do:
- Lead the design of large-scale technology solutions aligned to business transformation goals.
- Oversee the complete solution lifecycle, from initial architecture through deployment and ongoing support.
- Act as a trusted advisor on architectural decisions across applications, infrastructure, security, and integration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure solutions meet business needs and technical requirements.
- Develop architecture artifacts and solution blueprints that support long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Champion enterprise standards, governance, and compliance practices.
- Provide technical leadership for Salesforce Financial Services Cloud solutions, including integrations and customization strategies.
- Guide the design and delivery of API-driven, microservices-based, and cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Conduct design/code reviews to maintain quality, performance, and security standards.
- Support modernization efforts, addressing technical debt and evolving legacy systems.
- Mentor development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure architectural consistency and delivery success.
- Clearly communicate architectural strategies and trade-offs to both technical and business audiences.
What you bring:
- 5+ years of experience in solution architecture within financial services (lending, banking, or insurance preferred).
- Demonstrated leadership on major transformation programs in a Lead Architect role.
- Expertise with Salesforce platforms, particularly Financial Services Cloud (FSC), Lightning, and Marketing Cloud is a big bonus
- Strong background in API architecture, microservices, ESBs, and event-driven design.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, infrastructure, security, and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks and security standards (e.g., PCI, SOC 2) across hybrid environments.
- Ability to balance short-term project delivery with long-term architectural alignment.
- Experience collaborating across IT and business teams in both agile and hybrid methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including influencing senior leaders.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; certifications such as TOGAF, Azure Architect, or Salesforce Architect are assets.
