<p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>We are seeking a <strong>Senior Software Engineer</strong> to lead application development and drive enhancements for our Customer Correspondence platform. This role involves hands-on backend engineering, cross-team collaboration, and mentorship within an Agile environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of applications using enterprise Java technologies and object-oriented principles.</li><li>Build and maintain backend microservices and REST APIs across a full stack of modern tools and technologies.</li><li>Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver scalable, secure, high-quality technical solutions.</li><li>Continuously enhance engineering standards, development best practices, code quality, and security.</li><li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.</li><li>Support enhancements and day-to-day operation of the Customer Correspondence engine.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Basic Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.</li><li><strong>6+ years</strong> of hands-on experience in Java application development.</li><li><strong>3+ years</strong> of experience working with <strong>AWS</strong>.</li><li>Proven experience building backend microservices and developing RESTful APIs.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and persistence frameworks (e.g., Hibernate).</li><li>Experience with <strong>Test Driven Development (TDD)</strong>.</li><li>Prior experience working in an <strong>Agile/Scrum</strong> environment.</li><li>Knowledge of <strong>CI/CD pipelines</strong> and tools such as Jenkins.</li><li>Exposure to front-end frameworks such as <strong>React</strong> or <strong>Angular</strong> (nice to have, not required).</li></ul>
