We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Development Team Manager to lead our Network Automation and Application development team, a critical role responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cutting‑edge network automation capabilities within the rapidly evolving telecommunications landscape.</p>
<p>As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will be instrumental in shaping our software development strategy, driving technical excellence, and fostering a collaborative and engaging work environment. <p><b>What You’ll Do</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead, mentor, and inspire software engineering team while conducting performance reviews and identifying development opportunities</li>
<li>Drive agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and manage team workload to ensure efficient project delivery and meet deadlines</li>
<li>Provide technical guidance and architectural oversight for telecommunications software solutions, ensuring adherence to coding standards and security guidelines</li>
<li>Oversee complete software development lifecycle from conception to deployment, ensuring high‑quality, scalable solutions that meet business objectives</li>
<li>Collaborate with product management, architects, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into actionable development plans</li>
<li>Oversee and manage third‑party vendor providing scrum team resources, ensuring seamless integration and monitoring performance against KPIs</li>
<li>Champion continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and automated testing while identifying and mitigating technical risks</li>
<li>Stay current with emerging telecommunications technologies (5G, SDN, NFV, IoT) and industry trends to inform technical strategy</li>
<li>Foster cross‑functional collaboration and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular project updates and representing the team in technical decisions</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Qualifications</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.</li>
<li>Minimum of 7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.</li>
<li>Proven experience with various programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C++) and development frameworks relevant to telecommunications.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).</li>
<li>Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in an agile development environment.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Great-to-haves</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Strong domain expertise within the telecommunications industry is highly desired, including experience with:
<ul>
<li>Network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, SIP, Diameter, SS7)</li>
<li>Telecom BSS/OSS systems</li>
<li>Cloud‑native architectures for telecom (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenStack)</li>
<li>Wireless or wireline technologies (e.g., 5G, LTE, Fiber Optics)</li>
<li>Network function virtualization (NFV) or software‑defined networking (SDN)</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Real‑time embedded systems experience in telecom</li>
<li>Cybersecurity best practices knowledge in telecommunications networks</li>
<li>AI/ML applications experience in network automation</li>
<li>Microservices architecture and development experience</li>
<li>Scrum master experience facilitating skilled development teams</li>
<li>SDN/SD‑WAN certifications (VCP preferred) or cloud/virtualization platform knowledge</li>
<li>Vendor and customer management experience</li>
</ul>
<p>Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.</p>
