Your new role
We are seeking a seasoned Site Superintendent to oversee a major construction project in Mississauga.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all on-site activities are executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with project goals, timelines, and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver a high-quality project outcome.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise construction crews and subcontractors on-site.
- Ensure daily operations align with project plans and regulations.
- Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment to optimize productivity.
- Maintain accurate records of workforce attendance and site activities.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure milestones are met.
- Proactively adjust schedules to accommodate operational constraints.
- Interpret and enforce design specifications and blueprints.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all airport and company safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5 years as a Site Superintendent working on retail interiors.
- Basics of Supervision, CPR & First Aid, Working at Heights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams; MS Project is an asset.
- Hands-on experience in carpentry, drywall, framing, and site layout. Familiarity with HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Highly organized and adaptable under pressure. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Flexible to work day or night shifts as required by the project.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range of $90,000 – $120,000
