Hansler Industries is an integral entity of Leavitt Industrial Group. </p><p><strong>The Opportunity </strong></p><p>Hansler Industries is looking for a <strong>Shop Technician </strong>(Heavy Equipment or Automotive) to join our team in <strong>Brockville, Ontario</strong>. As the Shop Technician, you will be responsible for completing a variety of heavy equipment repair tasks required by our loyal customers. </p><p><strong>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</strong></p><p>As a Shop Technician your key responsibilities will include: </p><ul><li>Performing mechanical maintenance on a variety of material handling equipment and machinery </li><li>Diagnosing and completing equipment repairs in a timely manner, providing a variety of repair options that best meet customer needs </li><li>Tracking parts for ongoing service jobs </li><li>Completing work order forms </li><li>Communicating with the Shop Coordinator, Shop Lead, Service Manager, and Technical Support Center regarding service jobs and repair needs </li><li>Proactively identifying maintenance and repair opportunities for equipment </li><li>Following established warranty processes </li></ul><p><strong>Required Skills & Qualifications </strong></p><p>The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies: </p><ul><li>At least three years of heavy equipment or automotive repair experience in a related industry </li><li>Provincial Heavy Duty or Automotive Journeyperson’s ticket or a Relevant Red Seal Trade Certification is considered an asset</li><li>Experience with hydraulics and diagnosing and servicing electric engines is a strong asset </li><li>Previous aerial platform and lift truck experience an asset </li><li>Strong communication skills, including the ability to partner effectively with external customers and internal stakeholders </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and strong aptitude for learning and applying mechanical and technical concepts </li><li>Strong work ethic and a positive attitude with a willingness to learn</li><li>High school diploma </li><li>Valid driver’s license </li></ul><p><strong>Benefits & Perks </strong></p><p>Hansler Industries is proud to offer competitive compensation and flexible benefits coverage for all eligible employees, including an employer matching RRSP plan: </p><ul><li>Company paid medical health care plan for you and your dependents </li><li>Dental plan, vision plan, and prescription drug coverage </li><li>Annual health care spending account </li><li>Life insurance, disability insurance, and travel insurance – 100% employer paid </li><li>Sick leave plan – 100% employer paid </li><li>Employee assistance programs </li><li>RRSP matching </li><li>Ongoing professional development opportunities </li></ul><p>The base pay range for this role is: $27.81 to $31.93 per hour depending on experience.</p><p>This is an <strong>onsite</strong> role based in <strong>Brockville, Ontario.</strong></p><p>Hansler Industries would like to thank all applicants for their interest; however, only qualified applicants will be contacted by Talent Acquisition for an interview.
