WinstonBrock Recruitment, on behalf of our Hamilton-based client, is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to join their dynamic production team.

Role Overview
The Shipper/Receiver plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products within a high-volume printing environment. This position is responsible for receiving and inspecting shipments, organizing and maintaining inventory, delivering paper and supplies to presses, and preparing and shipping finished print products to customers.

This is a hands-on role that requires superior forklift skills, safe truck operation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production setting. The Shipper/Receiver will also support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse and shipping processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments of paper, raw materials, and supplies
  • Safely deliver paper and supplies to presses to support continuous production
  • Organize and maintain warehouse inventory across multiple storage locations
  • Operate forklifts, Raymond reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move, load, and stage shipments
  • Drive a 4.9-ton truck to transfer paper and products between warehouse sites
  • Complete shipping and receiving documentation (bills of lading, packing slips, etc.) accurately and on time
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse spaces in compliance with company policies and safety standards
  • Communicate with production and office staff regarding shipments, inventory levels, and delivery needs
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in shipping, receiving, and warehouse processes

You are a great fit if you:
  • Have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and hold a valid G driver’s licence
  • Bring 2+ years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience, ideally in a high-volume environment
  • Are skilled in operating propane forklifts, Raymond reach trucks, and other material-handling equipment
  • Are physically capable of lifting, moving, and stacking heavy materials safely
  • Have strong organizational skills and experience with shipping/receiving documentation
  • Thrive in a team-based environment and communicate effectively with operations and office staff
  • Are flexible to work occasional overtime to meet production or shipping deadlines

Working Conditions
  • Regular standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving throughout warehouse and plant environments
  • Exposure to noise, mild dust, and moving equipment in a manufacturing setting
  • Safe operation of forklifts and a 4.9-ton truck required
