<p><b>Job Summary</b></p><p>The <b>ServiceNow ITAM Technical Consultant</b> is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing IT Asset Management (ITAM) solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The solutions should align with best practices; ensuring upgradeability and stability. Communication skills are essential for successful client delivery and stakeholder adoption.</p><p><b>Role & Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Design, configure, and deployment of ServiceNow modules leveraging industry best practices and standards.</li><li>Provide technical and thought leadership in both system integration and application development, while also promoting best practices in these areas.</li><li>Contribute to the technical direction, recommend, and design the solution to leverage the ServiceNow best practices and out of the box functionality.</li><li>Contribute to internal artifacts and deliverables to ensure they meet solution requirements.</li><li>Prepare and maintain technical specifications and documents, architecture diagrams, system documentation, and manuals.</li><li>Troubleshoot production and test issues; perform root cause analysis, recommend corrective action, and perform resolution efforts.</li><li>Assist teams with associated technical and process activities.</li><li>Maintain instance integrity & security based on ServiceNow best practices.</li><li>Provide functional expertise as the SME for all application suites respective to their product line.</li><li>Provide mentorship and project oversight to ServiceNow developers and junior technical consultants.</li><li>Contribute to the sizing and scoping of product line projects.</li></ul><p><b>Success Criteria</b></p><ul><li>Delivery of stable, scalable, and compliant ITAM solutions with minimal post-deployment issues.</li><li>Positive stakeholder feedback and alignment of ITAM processes with strategic objectives.</li><li>Audit-ready documentation and consistent adherence to governance standards.</li><li>Achieve the chargeability goal established by management.</li><li>Active CSA certification and progress toward additional certifications relevant to assigned modules (e.g., ITSM, CIS-SAM, CIS-HAM). Where there is no physical location, we give all our employees an equal cultural experience through a remote setting.</p><p><b>What we need to see from you</b></p><p><b>What you offer</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in an IT related discipline, OR minimum (3) years of equivalent/relevant job experience in ITAM.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders to define requirements and performance standards.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Understanding of the Identification and Reconciliation engine and impacts to Asset Management</li><li>Experience with Normalization Data Services configuration</li><li>Experience with Software Asset Management Lifecycle</li><li>Experience with Hardware Asset Management Lifecycle</li><li>Experience with Procurement and Contract Management</li><li>Understanding of platform security and integration best practices</li><li>Fundamental knowledge of ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM)</li><li>Software development experience with JavaScript, API Integrations, Web development familiarity (HTML, CSS, and XML) and database concepts.</li><li>Excellent skills in leading workshops, gathering requirements, presenting complex technical information, and managing client relationships; including conflict resolution.</li><li>Ability to work as a trusted contributor on individual assignments and components as well as in a team environment and on client-developed teams</li><li>Ability to pass extensive background check and/or security clearances required to achieve certain certifications and/or to access secure customer locations</li><li>Extremely organized with a high level of attention to detail</li><li>Experience supervising individuals and/or managing teams on a project or ongoing basis</li><li>A positive promotor of work culture and a "can do" attitude</li><li>Willingness to learn and grow</li><li>Willingness to travel (up to 15%) and be comfortable in changing office environments</li></ul><p>Note: The preceding job profile has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by associates within this role.
