Senior Technical Consultant - IBM TM1 / PAx & PAWX
Job Description
We are currently seeking Senior Cognos TM1 Planning Analytics / TM1 Senior Consultants to work for a well-known Canadian consulting company.
The ideal candidate will have 5 - 7 years of senior development experience with TM1 with proficiency in financial planning and analytics, accounting, and information systems.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience with operating financial, planning & analytical systems
- Planning Analytics, PAx and PAW experience is essential
- LINUX EXPERIENCE PREFERED
- PYTHON EXPERIENCE PREFERED
- BEDROCK
- Experience in change management and financial process improvement.
- Possess good communication skills and have the ability to collaborate with both business and technical team members.
- Able to perform business process analysis, requirements analysis and review technical designs.
- Expert with software suites (i.e. Cognos BI, TM1, Planning and Analytics).
- Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Implements recommendations from Sr. Mgmt. on the creation of new Planning Analytics applications or enhancements to existing ones.
- Constructs and tests Planning Analytics application logic, and develops, creates, modifies application code for complex applications.
- Manages the implementation of complex enhancements to existing Planning Analytics applications
- Manages the implementation of complex implementation of major new Planning Analytics applications (enterprise-wide impact).
- Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to discuss & understand business requirements and create functional requirements specifications
- Build and present Proof of Concept to stakeholders and seek approval towards solution build
- Implement Planning Analytics/ TM1 solutions using TM1 Rules, TI Processes, PAx, PAW
- Implement TM1 security across implementations
- Conduct Planning Analytics training sessions for the end-users
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5+ years of experience in TM1 application development and maintenance.
- Solid 5+ years IBM Cognos TM1 Suite (version10.x) implementation experience from requirements to deployment
- Hands-on with Turbo Integrator, TM1 Rules with the ability for performance tuning existing and new applications
- Experience with technical design process and models.
- Experience with SDLC / SW development processes (RUP, Agile, Waterfall)
- Experience utilizing verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using analytical skills, tools and techniques to investigate information and to draw conclusions.
- Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Business Administration, or similar
- Working knowledge with IBM Planning Analytics, Cognos BI and ETL 3. TM1 / PA Certification
