The Web Platform team is a dynamic group of skilled professionals who spearhead the architecture, development, and continuous enhancement of core front-end platforms at SurveyMonkey. Our mission is clear: empower product teams to create exceptional web applications that our customers rely on day in and day out.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer / DevOps to play a pivotal role in contributing to the development of robust Continuous Integration (CI) and Development (CD) pipelines, develop new Kubernetes-based infrastructure, and build out the next evolution of our developer experience for frontend applications. If you have a proven track record in frontend technologies, a passion for CI/CD implementation, and expertise in deployment architectures, we invite you to be a key collaborator in shaping the future of our frontend software deployment strategies.

What you’ll be working on

  • Work within the team to ideate, design, develop, and release core platform features and enhancements to enable faster, more efficient, and higher quality web application development.
  • Develop plans, strategies, and solutions for performant and reliable CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate on and contribute to the architecture and rollout of our infrastructure migration to Kubernetes.
  • Develop applications and automations to deliver the highest levels of reliability in our software deployments.
  • Provide support to ensure the highest levels of continuity in our application development and delivery.
  • Guide product engineering teams in feature and application migration to our platforms.

We’d love to hear from people with

  • 5+ years of experience in developing/deploying JavaScript/NodeJS applications at scale.
  • Experience developing CI/CD pipelines for Javascript/NodeJS applications using Github Actions & Workflows or equivalent tools (TeamCity, Jenkins, CircleCI).
  • Experience with Docker and container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
  • Experience with open systems environments and scripting experience (BASH)
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent.
