<p>The <b>Financial Services (FS) team</b> at Lightspeed is the “fintech” side of the company, owning high-impact products like <b>Payments, Capital, and core Foundations capabilities</b>. We are hiring Senior Software Developers across all teams within FS.</p>
<p>As a<b> Senior Software Developer</b> In this role, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of various features within our mission-critical financial products. You will make valuable contributions to the overall codebase for new features or resolving bugs, help improve the architecture, and other related activities. You are expected to bring strong technical expertise, help the team accomplish their goals, help evolve the team’s process and tooling, and take an active role in various production operations, including on-call rotations.</p>

<h3><b>What you'll be responsible for:</b></h3>
<ul>
<li>Drive strategic collaboration in development planning, retrospectives, and demos;</li>
<li><b>Lead the system design and architecture for new, large-scale features, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and maintainable;</b></li>
<li>Break down high-level requirements into well-defined development tasks and work items;</li>
<li>Manage and communicate expectations, priorities, release status, and project schedules to stakeholders and the team;</li>
<li>Lead effort estimation for sprint and product roadmap deliverables;</li>
<li>Champion continuous improvement of our software delivery processes and practices;</li>
<li>Actively mentor and coach team members, identifying areas for growth and career development;</li>
<li>Shape the future of the engineering workforce by actively participating in the recruitment process;</li>
<li>Provide technical and process guidance;</li>
<li>Elevate coding standards and best practices by conducting rigorous code reviews in a knowledge-sharing environment;</li>
<li>Continuously improve our existing tools and products to ensure technological advantage.</li>
</ul>
<h3><b>What you’ll be bringing to the team:</b></h3>
<ul>
<li>Strong software engineering and computer science fundamentals like data structures and algorithms.</li>
<li>A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Software Developer</li>
<li>Experience working for a SaaS product based company.</li>
<li>Proven, extensive expertise in designing and architecting complex, event-driven distributed systems, with significant experience in microservices and reliable data pipelines, preferably within the Financial Services domain.</li>
<li>Our primary tech stack includes Java, Node.js, react, Ruby, Golang, TypeScript; the language used depends on the specific team.)</li>
<li>Proven experience developing scalable, reliable applications on the cloud (AWS/GCP);</li>
<li>Experience designing and setting up advanced monitoring systems and championing the overall observability culture;</li>
<li>Experience leading initiatives and feature work from system design to production deployment;</li>
<li>Strong sense of ownership and self-improvement, with a growth mindset.</li>
