Criteria such as the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.</p><p><br></p><p><b>We Take Care of Our People:</b> </p><p>Paid Time Off RRSP with Employer Match Health and Wellness Benefits Learning and Development Opportunities Competitive Pay Referral Program Recognition Employee Stock Purchase Plan Inclusive & Supportive Culture</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b>Your Challenge:</b></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Engineer, Design, Develop and Test new <b>embedded products </b>at the forefront of technology.</li><li>Support and enhance existing embedded software.</li><li>Apply established development processes and assist in process improvement.</li><li>Analyze requirements, research and <b>identify solutions and develop the design and conduct architecture, design and code reviews.</b></li><li>Provide input to architecture and design reviews.</li><li>Keep current with embedded software trends and share knowledge.</li><li><b>Reading and understanding IC datasheets, register descriptions and board schematics.</b></li><li>Participate in maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere within the team.</li></ul><p><br></p><p> </p><p><b>What You Bring:</b></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science (or equivalent).</li><li>7 yrs + experience in software development.</li><li><b>Development of embedded firmware solutions for Intel, Power Architecture and Arm processors.</b></li><li>Proficient using the <b>high-level programming language such as C </b>to solve computing problems and a strong understanding of IC datasheets, register descriptions and board schematics.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and software debugging skills.</li><li>Experience with <b>Device Driver Development, Debugging Device Drivers and Network Switching</b></li><li>Strong understanding of software design and engineering principles and application to real world use.</li></ul><p> </p><p><b>Preferred Skills</b></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Experience working with a multi-disciplined team.</li><li>Knowledge of software engineering best practices and standards.</li><li>Focus on writing supportable, portable code.</li><li>Das U-Boot firmware development for ARM or Power Architecture.</li><li><b>UEFI firmware development for Intel.</b></li><li><b>Slim Bootloader (SBL) </b>development for Intel.</li><li>Bare metal programming and Board bring-up.</li><li>Familiarity with the following OS architectures; <b>Linux, VxWorks</b>, and Windows.</li><li>Software configuration management tools such as Git and software work and defect tracking tools such as JIRA.</li><li>Software test tools and methodologies as well as scripting tools and languages such as <b>Python.</b></li><li>Familiarity with any of the following technologies: PCIe, Ethernet, MDIO, I2C, SPI, TPM, non-volatile memories, SATA, USB, eMMC, NVMe.</li><li>Use of <b>HW debugging tools,</b> such as Digital Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and DMMs.</li></ul><p><br></p><p> </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b>Equal Opportunity Statement</b></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Curtiss-Wright values diversity in the workplace.
