<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><strong>Senior Project Manager</strong><br /><strong>Edmonton/AB</strong><br /><strong>Commercial Construction / General Contractor</strong><br><br><strong>Position Overview:</strong><br><br> As a critical contributor to the success of our client., the Senior Project Manager is responsible for driving revenue and profit through full-cycle project management. This role involves leading commercial construction projects from implementation to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget according to contract specifications. The Senior Project Manager works closely with the project team (mentoring and leading) and stakeholders, fostering excellent relationships with clients and subcontractors while maintaining accountability for profit, schedule, process adherence, financial risk management, client communications, and safety.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br /><ul><li>Manage projects to ensure completion on or ahead of schedule and maximize profitability.</li><li>Oversee daily operations, develop and maintain construction schedules, and monitor progress.</li><li>Mentoring and leading team.</li><li>Prepare detailed job cost reports and accurate forecasting, overseeing subcontractors and suppliers.</li><li>Generate budget estimates, contracts, change orders, and RFIs, and process progress billings.</li><li>Manage change management, <span >procurement/buyouts,</span> and reconcile payments.</li><li>Utilize Procore for project documentation and review plans for constructability challenges.</li><li>Cultivate strong relationships with owners, trade contractors, and suppliers, interpreting and managing contractual obligations.</li><li>Lead meetings with trade subcontractors and superintendents to discuss progress, resolve obstacles, and ensure accountability.</li><li>Support the superintendent in obtaining occupancy permits and ensure compliance with provincial legislation regarding liens and holdbacks.</li><li>Implement quality control policies, conduct post-project reviews, and manage project closeout.</li></ul><strong>Qualifications:</strong><br /><ul><li>Minimum 7 years of increasing scale Project Management experience in commercial construction, delivering consistent, profitable results.</li><li>Proven experience managing projects in the $1-5M range, with an interest in smaller or multiple simultaneous projects.</li><li>Experience with larger projects around the $20 - 30M range. </li><li>Demonstrable knowledge of onsite safety procedures and ability to implement them.</li><li>Experience in reading and interpreting complex contract requirements.</li><li>Exceptional computer skills, particularly with scheduling, planning, and cost control software.</li><li>A desire to mentor and develop junior team members.</li><li>Strong behavioral competencies in project management, problem-solving, accuracy, communication (written and verbal), diplomacy, and customer service.</li></ul><strong>Education:</strong><br /><ul><li>Post-Secondary education in a relevant discipline.</li></ul><strong>What's on Offer:</strong><br /><ul><li>Excellent, entrepreneurial company with a strong collaborative team and amazing reputation in the industry</li><li>Opportunity to grow a team within a well-established construction company</li><li>Competitive compensation package and benefits plan</li><li>Top projects to add to your professional profile </li></ul><strong>Application Process:</strong><br /><ul><li>If you are a results-driven professional with a passion for project management and a strong understanding of we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
