Position Overview

This position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Reports any integrity, compliance, safety, cybersecurity, quality, contract, program, and cost issues to management and/or project managers for resolution.
  2. Ensures engineering activities and deliverables comply with safety, cybersecurity regulations, standards, and contractual requirements.
  3. Ensures the Bill of Materials (BOM) meets contractual obligations.
  4. Identifies and implements change/variation requests with approval from the project manager.
  5. Ensures the project meets technical requirements and is technically completed during contract closure activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10 years of related experience in industrial electrification projects and the mining industry. Member of OIQ (or P.Eng. from other Canadian provinces).
  • Knowledge of electrical standards (ANSI, CSA, IEEE, UL, and others) and software such as ETAP, SKM, ACAD, SmartPlant, or Microstation.
  • Availability to travel within Canada.
  • Bilingual in French and English; French is required, English for communication outside Quebec.
