Our EQ Bank platform (eqbank.ca) has been named the top Schedule I Bank in Canada on the Forbes World’s Best Banks 2023, 2022, and 2021 lists.Reporting to the VP of Product, the Senior Product Manager is accountable for developing a product strategy that will help EQ deliver a better banking experience for our customers. Key ownership for this role includes understanding customer needs and feedback, developing new products that support customers and bank business objectives, efficient project delivery and management of online banking functionality.About YouYou have 2+ years relevant experience in product management.You have worked on an application/many applications that has been used by 100s to 1000s of people from each customer (or a similar consumer-grade product).You have successfully increased user engagement from occasionally to at least weekly.You’re equally comfortable communicating thoughts, ideas and features in writing across different mediums, through sketches and wireframes of varying fidelity or when speaking in-person and on video.You have phenomenal analytical skills and attention to detail.You are comfortable working with products that rely on extracting and organizing complex datasets.You are a self-starter and know how to get things done.You love to keep things organized, but you know when to accommodate a lack of structure for the sake of speed.You enjoy working closely with designers, developers, and business stakeholders and you can establish and facilitate trust, respect and collaboration across a group to make informed decisions.You excel in breaking down complex feature requests into small, measurable components that facilitate asynchronous work.You have a strong user-centric mindset and you know how to collect user feedback and put it into action.You have experience deploying different project management strategies and you don’t shy away from helping others organize and clarify their tasks for the greater good of a project.Especially helpful if you’re proficient with Figma, Trello, Productboard, Shortcut (fka Clubhouse), Hotjar and Heap.You are familiar enough with databases to write a simple SQL query.You may not have engineering experience, but you are able to participate and share the user’s voice in conversations about technical concepts, database architecture or APIs etcAbout The WorkCreate and maintain feature backlogs to drive roadmap planning and prioritize new features based on user and internal team’s needs, business goals, technical feasibility and resources.Manage the product development process from end-to-end for product improvements in one or many of EQB’s core user-facing or internal service delivery focused featuresRegularly meet with prospects, customers and teams to discuss their needs and synthesize findings to inform product strategy.Analyze usage and organize product feedback for the core features you’re managing.Increase transparency by surfacing, tracking and communicating the right business metrics and better feedback loops.Understand the competitive landscape by keeping up with the latest trends in procurement and finance software platforms.Work closely with stakeholder teams to launch new features, develop release communication, go-to-market plans, and drive product adoption.Define and participate in systems and processes that allow the product team to work effectively across the organization.#INDPWhat we offer (For full-time permanent roles)uD83DuDCB0 Competitive discretionary bonus✨ Market leading RRSP match programuD83EuDE7A Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefitsuD83DuDCDD Employee Share Purchase PlanuD83DuDC76uD83CuDFFD Maternity/Parental top-up while you care for your little oneuD83CuDFDD Generous vacation policy, personal days and even a moving dayuD83DuDDA5 Virtual events to connect with your fellow colleaguesuD83CuDF93 Annual professional development allowance and a comprehensive Career Development programuD83DuDC9B A fulfilling opportunity to join one of the top FinTechs and help create a new kind of banking experienceThe incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from Equitable Bank’s additional office space located at 351 King Street East, Toronto, ON.Equitable Bank is deeply committed to inclusion.
