Here’s What You Will Do



  • Provide review and professional stamping for mechanical projects across a full range of sizes and complexities.

  • Lead the development of mechanical design strategies and concepts for large‑scale or technically challenging projects.

  • Oversee and conduct audits, feasibility studies, and investigations, preparing detailed technical reports and recommendations.

  • Perform site visits to assess project progress, resolve construction challenges, and collaborate with stakeholders on effective solutions.

  • Mentor and support intermediate and junior engineers and designers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and growth.

  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of mechanical design standards, processes, and best practices across the organization.


Here’s What We’re Looking For



  • Post‑secondary education in Mechanical Engineering. P. Eng designation is required for this position.

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive, relevant work experience

  • 5 or more years of design experience with central plant systems, including hot water, steam, and chilled water systems

  • Significant exposure to DDC control systems, including writing sequences of operations, specifications, and troubleshooting on‑site control issues

  • Extensive knowledge of codes and standards, including OBC, ASHRAE, CSA, and ASPE standards.

  • Design experience across multiple industries, including commercial, industrial, educational, multi‑unit residential, healthcare, and government

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with an ability to work collaboratively and strategically with internal and external partners.

  • A proven ability to multitask and deliver quality work within defined deadlines. Strong organizational and time‑management skills are essential to success in this role, as well as strong decision‑making skills.
