Our client is a well-established public accounting firm that provides tax and advisory services to entrepreneurial, owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals. The firm is recognized for its strong technical foundation, collaborative culture, and commitment to developing its professionals.


This is an existing vacancy within the firm's tax practice and represents a key leadership role. The Senior Manager will work closely with senior tax leadership to manage complex private client engagements while contributing to practice growth, mentorship, and technical excellence.

What You'll Accomplish in This Role


Client Advisory & Tax Leadership

  • Manage a portfolio of private client engagements, including corporate, personal, and trust tax filings.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Advise on corporate reorganizations, mergers & acquisitions, and cross-border transactions.
  • Partner with senior tax leadership to support client development and practice growth.
  • Deliver tailored tax strategies aligned with client objectives and risk profiles.


Technical Excellence & Compliance

  • Ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance across all tax filings and advisory work.
  • Stay current on Canadian tax legislation and regulatory changes.
  • Conduct technical research and contribute to internal standards and best practices.
  • Participate in internal training sessions, external presentations, and professional events.


Team Development & Culture

  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior and intermediate tax professionals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Present or instruct on Canadian tax topics, including participation in the CPA In-Depth Tax Program (required).
  • Support the firm's thought leadership through knowledge sharing and professional involvement.


What You'll Bring to the Table


  • CPA designation required.
  • Minimum 6+ years of progressive Canadian tax experience, ideally within public accounting.
  • Strong technical expertise in corporate, personal, and trust taxation.
  • Proven leadership, mentorship, and client relationship management experience.
  • Experience teaching or presenting as part of the CPA In-Depth Tax Program (required).
  • STEP Canada Diploma in Trusts and Estates considered an asset.
  • Client-focused, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset.

Compensation & Details

  • Base Salary: $135,000 - $150,000 + bonus
  • Vacation: 4 weeks
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package
  • Work Model: Full-time, on-site
  • Location: Mississauga
