Our Pharmaceutical Partnerships team at our Central office manages the relationships with our external vendors and leads all aspects of inventory planning for thousands of brand and generic pharmaceutical products to ensure that our patients can get the product they need when they come to any of our pharmacies within the Shoppers Drug Mart and Loblaws network.

We are hiring a Senior Manager , Business Process Analysis Reporting to the Director of Vaccine Partnerships, you will complete process analysis in areas such as risk analysis, process integration, impact assessment, and facilitation of improvement areas for vaccine operations. You will also be responsible for Enterprise Vaccine and Vaccine-adjacent programs, procurement negotiations, and increasing commercial opportunities in support of pivotal initiatives.
You will provide a consistent approach to analyzing, measuring, and proactively uncovering commercial pharmacy and distribution opportunities. You will work closely with the Senior Manager, Vaccine Partnerships to collaborate with brand pharmaceutical manufacturers to find opportunities for enhancing Procurement, Category Management / Patient Care Services, and Health Solutions programs.
In this capacity, you will lead the integration of processes and our systems that exist and are to standard methodology. What you’ll do: Process Improvement Supports the business initiatives and assists projects in early project results, e.
g. , important metric assessment, risk analysis Work with cross-functional teams to identify processes, benefits, and risks of proposed process changes and alignment to organizational strategic objectives Lead all aspects of the process changes and how they fit into the overall business process Uncover opportunities for process optimization and work with partners to put these into place Directly participate in the analysis and negotiations surrounding strategic business initiatives Support the national Enterprise Vaccine and Vaccine-adjacent distribution programs including assisting with strategic planning, and execution and representing Shoppers Drug Mart as a wholesaler Provide market insights as input to forecasting This role has 1-2 direct reports New and Continuous System Improvements Provide a central point of contact for business users on all Province specific, SAP, ESA, and reporting systems Connect with business users and management on issue status’, system availabilities, and system changes Provide reinforcement for standardization of business processes Maintain solutions and business process document library to support key business areas Manage adherence to business process documentation standards Create required documentation for enhancements to existing systems and processes as requested by the business and approved by management Collaborate and partner with different business areas to effectively support end users and drive efficiencies Maintain and analyze issues log and find opportunities for optimization Record, track, and categorize user issues and determine criticality Create and manage incident tickets and identify assigned groups (functional, technical, master data) Perform and signoff User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for related systems Training Development and Delivery Identify training opportunism for users on all Province specific, SAP, ESA, and reporting systems Own the on-boarding/training of new users to the processes and systems Educate and train business users on the incident management process and tools Develop, initial scripting, testing, and approval for example BRD, UAT Test Cases Support training documentation and delivery with Learning & Development as required Support Vaccine Distribution Operations Invoice reconciliation Complete Vaccine and Vaccine-adjacent distribution tasks with the vaccine team as required Skills and Experience: University degree 5 – 8 years of previous experience in the Canadian pharmaceutical industry (Generic pharmaceutical and/or supply chain management experience an asset) Advanced analytical abilities with a sound knowledge of the provincial market access landscape Strong problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented, diplomatic teammate with a proactive results orientation Ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment with minimal supervision Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel) Pharmacy experience is considered an asset Why now.
