Senior Flagperson/Trainer

Job Description

Are you interested in training other Flaggers/Traffic Controllers to do their job safely and professionally? We are currently seeking experienced Trainers for Flaggers/Traffic Controllers for the upcoming busy season You will play a crucial role in educating the importance of safely directing the movement of traffic, setting up and maintaining traffic control devices, and ensuring compliance with all relevant protocols.<br><br>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Instruct how to direct and control the flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the worksite.</li><li>Provide detailed instructions on how to monitor and respond to changing traffic conditions to ensure the safety of workers and the public.</li><li>Assist with set up, maintain, and adjust traffic control devices such as signs, cones, and barriers.</li><li>Communicate effectively with students and provide clear instructions and information in accordance with provincial laws.</li><li>Maintain detailed records of traffic incidents and control measures.</li><li>Adhere to all applicable safety regulations and company policies.</li></ul>
<br>Requirements:<ul><li>Successful completion of "Train the Trainer Course".</li><li>Completion of Alberta flagging certification is required.</li><li>Previous experience in traffic control or flagging operations.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Commitment to safety and attention to detail.</li><li>Must be comfortable standing, walking and lifting up to 50lbs.</li><li>Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.</li><li>Must have steel toe boots in good repair, hi vis vest, hi vis hard hat, safety glasses.</li></ul>
