Job Title: Senior ETL Developer

Job Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (onsite)

Job Type: Contract 12+ Months (T4/ Incorporated)

We are seeking an ETL Developer with BA experience to join our stimulating and dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ETL and compatible coding languages (SQL, Python, VBA, etc); as well as investment compliance monitoring. This position requires excellent analytical skills and a self-starting attitude. Exposure to Shareholding Disclosure tools and related applications (e.g., Aosphere Rulefinder, FundApps, Bloomberg, etc) is an asset.

Must have Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with ETL tools (DataStage, SQL/PLSQL); Scheduling tools (JAMS); and Database (Oracle)..
  • SCRUM framework
  • Experience with shareholding disclosure monitoring and investment compliance monitoring (shareholding disclosure, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills.


  • Develop, implement, and optimize ETL processes, executing related tasks such as extraction, transformation, loading, integration, and error handling.
  • Understand market data from sources such as Bloomberg, Markit as well as RIMES; and leverage technical skill set to perform complex analyses on large volumes of unstructured data to investigate and resolve exceptions.
  • Gather, interpret, and document complex business line information to support decision-making and target state employee training, adapting as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure developed solutions are duly tested and fulfill specified business requirements.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of data warehouse and data integration solutions.
  • Provide training to the compliance monitoring team, documenting material in a playbook structure.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and technologies.
