Overview

We're supporting a well-established, multi-disciplinary consulting firm on a confidential search for an Senior Energy Modeling Engineer . This is a leadership role within the MEP division for a licensed engineer who enjoys combining technical expertise with people leadership, project oversight, and strategic growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Energy Modeling group, acting as the people lead for the team, providing technical oversight, and helping expand the firm's energy modeling and sustainability services.

Key Highlights

  • Lead and grow an established Energy Modeling team within a larger MEP practice

  • Serve as people leader (mentorship, performance guidance, team development)

  • Review and seal energy models (own work and team deliverables)

  • Strong mix of technical leadership + business accountability

  • Involvement in financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and project invoicing

  • Opportunity to expand service offerings and market presence in building performance

Ideal Background

  • P.Eng. (Ontario)

  • 5+ years in energy modeling / building performance within consulting

  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building envelopes, lighting, and controls

  • Comfortable leading teams and owning outcomes (technical + financial)

  • Experience in multidisciplinary consulting environments preferred
