We are currently seeking a skilled Dispatcher to coordinate and streamline our transportation operations. This role is critical in ensuring timely deliveries and effective communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispatching & Communication: Assign highway loads to drivers and maintain ongoing communication via phone or satellite.
- Scheduling & Planning: Manage delivery and pick-up appointments, optimize routes, and ensure on-time performance.
- Tracking & Monitoring: Use Samsara to track equipment/driver location and monitor safety compliance.
- Customer Interaction: Update customers on load status and resolve service issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively resolve service disruptions and work to minimize delays.
- Collaboration: Work closely with drivers, customer service, and management to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
- Strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Solid understanding of traffic laws and regional geography.
- Proficient in transportation management systems (e.g., Samsara).
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Customer-focused with the ability to build relationships and resolve issues quickly.
- Goal-oriented and results-driven with proven leadership and teamwork abilities.
- Adaptable, resourceful, and self-motivated.
