Joining this organization means becoming part of a passionate team where excellence and long-term vision guide every decision.</p><h3>Position Summary</h3><p>Reporting directly to senior management and sitting on the executive committee, the Senior Director of Finance will serve as the strategic pillar of the financial function across Canadian and U.S. operations. As the right hand of the leadership team, this person will be responsible for ensuring the organization’s financial health, leading major growth initiatives, and positioning the company as an innovative and profitable industrial leader.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Develop, recommend, and execute an ambitious financial vision aligned with the North American corporate strategy.</li><li>Advise senior management and the executive committee on all financial and investment decisions.</li><li>Act as a transformational leader, driving continuous improvement and organizational performance.</li></ul><h3>Financial and Operational Management</h3><ul><li>Oversee all financial operations across manufacturing sites in Canada and the United States.</li><li>Ensure optimal management of cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships.</li><li>Lead the preparation and analysis of consolidated multi-site, multi-currency financial statements.</li><li>Develop advanced financial dashboards to support strategic decision-making.</li></ul><h3>Governance and Compliance</h3><ul><li>Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards (ASPE/IFRS) and U.S. GAAP.</li><li>Supervise internal and external audits, maintaining exemplary relationships with auditing firms.</li><li>Implement robust risk management and internal control mechanisms.</li></ul><h3>Organizational Development</h3><ul><li>Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team across multiple sites.</li><li>Implement modern financial practices and innovative technologies (ERP, BI, automation).</li><li>Promote a culture of performance, agility, and collaboration.</li></ul><h3>Expansion and Growth</h3><ul><li>Play an active role in expansion projects, mergers and acquisitions, and integrations.</li><li>Assess growth opportunities across North America and recommend investment strategies.</li><li>Support manufacturing operations by bringing expertise in cost optimization and profitability.</li></ul><h3>Candidate Profile</h3><ul><li><strong>Education</strong>: CPA designation (mandatory); MBA or CA designation considered strong assets.</li><li><strong>Experience</strong>: 15–20 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a multi-site manufacturing company (Canada + U.S.).</li><li><strong>Core Skills</strong>:</li><li>Mastery of Canadian and U.S. accounting standards.</li><li>Strong understanding of industrial and production environments.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage multi-currency and multi-jurisdiction finances.</li><li>Strategic and mobilizing leadership.</li><li>Excellent communication skills in both French and English.</li><li><strong>Personal Qualities</strong>: Visionary, results-oriented, rigorous, with high emotional intelligence and an entrepreneurial mindset.</li></ul><p><strong>Join this world-class organization and shape the financial future of a North American industrial leader.</strong></p></p>
