We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cyber Security Specialist to join a growing team with our Asset Management client. This critical role involves maturing and enhancing the organization’s cyber security posture. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, leading security initiatives and offering expert guidance across various security domains. Strong technical capabilities paired with excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership on key cybersecurity projects and enhance the security program.
  • Support and implement security operations and IT cloud infrastructure projects, focusing on:
  • Security technology modernization
  • Develop and maintain specialized cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure solutions (e.g., incident response, vulnerability management, IAM).
  • Strengthen security governance standards and processes, especially in risk management and incident response.
  • Conduct Third-Party Risk Management evaluations.
  • Support and implement:
  • Computer forensics for risk mitigation and investigations
  • PAM (Privileged Access Management) and MDM (Mobile Device Management) efforts
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote security awareness and best practices.
  • Stay current with emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of proven experience in cybersecurity roles.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
  • Hands-on experience with technologies like firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Proficiency in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Deep understanding of incident response and application security best practices.
  • Scripting experience and the ability to develop/implement security policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work on-site and travel periodically to other office locations (
