THE ROLE

As Senior Architectural Project Manager, you will take full ownership of project delivery from early planning through construction completion. You will lead integrated teams of architects, engineers, and consultants, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will also play a key role in forecasting revenue, managing risk, and maintaining strong client partnerships.

Experience with a variety of project preferred, but some experience with courthouses, detention or correctional facilities, police stations, or similar secure public infrastructure—is considered a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all phases of project delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, and resourcing

  • Negotiate and control project deliverables, contracts, and work plans to meet client and contractual requirements

  • Develop detailed, multi-disciplinary work plans and allocate hours across architectural and engineering teams

  • Monitor project performance, manage financial health, and forecast revenue accurately

  • Provide leadership for quality assurance and quality control across all deliverables, particularly construction drawings and specifications

  • Identify and manage scope changes, negotiating solutions that align with client expectations and project objectives

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction

  • Foster strong, long-term client relationships through proactive communication and problem-solving

  • Coordinate with contractors and sub-consultants to resolve constructability issues and technical challenges, review drawings done in Revit

WHAT'S REQUIRED

  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, strategic planning, and client leadership

  • 10+ years of experience delivering architectural/engineering projects, with at least 10 years of experience working with Canadian building codes and by laws, also in order to be eligible for Reliability Clearance (security clearance)

  • Security Clearance preferred

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects

  • Solid understanding of project accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • Professional registration with a relevant association is considered an asset

  • Experience with justice-sector projects (courthouses, police facilities, correctional or detention facilities) is an asset

  • Experience with other complex public, institutional, or infrastructure projects will also be strongly considered
