Senior Angular Developer

Our client in the financial sector is looking for a contract to perm Senior Angular developer.

Location: Hybrid 3d/week Toronto


Duration: 6 months, w/ option to convert to fulltime/permanent

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain responsive, scalable web applications using Angular (latest versions) that integrate with backend services in Java/Spring.
  • Collaborate closely with backend Java/Spring developers to integrate front-end components with APIs and ensure seamless end-to-end functionality.
  • Write reusable, maintainable, and efficient code, focusing on UI/UX best practices and performance optimization.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product Management) to design and implement features for the payment platform.
  • Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices in development.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Develop unit and integration tests for Angular components and ensure high test coverage.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on Angular (v9+).
  • Experience in building dynamic web applications in the payments or financial services domain.
  • Strong understanding of TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3/SCSS.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end code with Java/Spring backend services.
  • Proficiency in using Angular frameworks, modules, and services to create complex, data-driven UIs.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Karma) and end-to-end testing (e.g., Protractor, Cypress).
