As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, working closely with a growing Finance team.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</strong></p><p>As the Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Prepare and analyze monthly income statements and balance sheets for multiple entities in Canada and the US</li><li>Prepare daily and monthly KPI reports, prepare quarterly and year end working papers</li><li>Prepare account reconciliations and month end adjusting journal entries</li><li>Prepare cheque, ACH, and wire transfers</li><li>Classify, code, and summarize financial data into accurate, and up-to-date financial records</li><li>Prepare provincial and state tax filings</li><li>Resolve issues within the ERP system</li><li>Supervise and train accountants and administrators</li></ul><p><strong>Required Skills & Qualifications</strong></p><p>The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:</p><ul><li>Post-secondary education in a related field such as business, finance or accounting</li><li>CPA designation</li><li>At least three to five years of accounting work experience, preferably in a large organization</li><li>Experience using Sage 100 or a similar ERP system is a strong asset</li><li>Strong organization skills and excellent attention to detail</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits & Perks</strong></p><p>Portland Tractor Inc. is proud to offer competitive compensation and flexible benefits coverage for all eligible employees:</p><ul><li>Company paid medical health care plan for you and your dependents</li><li>Dental plan, vision plan, and prescription drug coverage</li><li>Annual health care spending account</li><li>Life insurance, disability insurance, and travel insurance – 100% employer paid</li><li>Sick leave plan – 100% employer paid</li><li>Employee assistance programs</li><li>Ongoing professional development opportunities</li><li>Reimbursement of CPA membership fees</li></ul><p>The base pay range for this role is: $70,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience.</p><p>This is an <strong>onsite</strong> role based in <strong>Langley, British Columbia</strong>.</p><p>Portland Tractor Inc. & Leavitt Industrial Group would like to thank all applicants for their interest, however, only qualified applicants will be contacted by Talent Acquisition for an interview.
