Join our team as a Mall Tactical Security Officer in Scarborough, ON. and take on a challenging yet rewarding position focused on public safety, asset protection, and crisis response.

• Location: Scarborough, ON
• Shift: 12-hour continental shift rotation (9:00 AM – 9:00 PM)
• Compensation:
• $18.20/hour during probation (first 3 months)
• Pay increase after probationary period
• Uniform: Provided at no cost
• Employment Type: Full-time

• Proactive Security Patrols – Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the mall to deter crime, monitor high-risk areas, and respond swiftly to incidents.
• Incident Response – Handle disturbances, theft, trespassing, and emergencies professionally and efficiently.
• Customer & Tenant Assistance – Provide a visible security presence and assist mall visitors, staff, and tenants with safety concerns.
• Access Control & Surveillance – Monitor security systems, enforce mall policies, and ensure restricted areas remain secure.
• Conflict Resolution & De-Escalation – Manage confrontations calmly and professionally, using tactical communication techniques.
• Emergency Response – Respond to fire alarms, medical emergencies, and other incidents as per established protocols.
• Liaison with Law Enforcement – Work closely with police and emergency responders when required.
• Incident Reporting – Accurately document all security-related events, investigations, and occurrences.

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License (Mandatory)
• Minimum 1 year of security experience, preferably in a mall or high-traffic environment
• Tactical security experience or crisis intervention training is an asset
• Police Foundations diploma or similar education is an asset
• Excellent observational, communication, and de-escalation skills
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
• Professional, reliable, and able to handle high-pressure situations
• CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
