Our Team is hiring! We are on the lookout for new personnel to come join our ranks and work with a dynamic team!
Canadian Arctic Protective Services (CANAPS) is looking for Full-time, Part-time Security Officer, Casual term or Relief personnel to add to our current roster. Be ready to join a serious and professional team located in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
Position: Security Officer
Training: Training provided internally in class settings by accredited instructors and via online modules with our newly established academy. Accredited certification is provided free of charge for those working for our organization.
Equipment: Provided by us.
Requirements:
- Ability to undergo security clearance with CRC as a minimum.
- In general, good health and able to perform mild physical demanding duties.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols to ensure the security and safety of the premises.
- Monitor CCTV cameras to detect and prevent suspicious activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to visitors and employees.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Expected hours: 20 – 45 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed
