Job Description

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking a technician with 2+ years of experience installing card access systems and CCTV systems in commercial properties.

Experience with fire panels and burglar alarm systems in residential and commercial settings is an asset but not required.


Qualifications:

  • Proficient in cabling: install, fish, dress, cross-connect, and terminate UTP, coaxial, and fibre cables
  • Experience with Honeywell, Ademco, and DSC systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
  • Able to pass a criminal background check
  • Comfortable using tools and working at heights (ladders, lifts)
  • Physically capable of lifting 50-70 lbs
  • Knowledge of safety standards and local/national codes
  • Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service
  • Computer literate with networking skills and knowledge of operating systems


Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and test electronic security systems
  • Troubleshoot software and networking issues
  • Test equipment, connections, and signals
  • Install video systems and digital cameras
  • Configure and program DVR units
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Provide cost estimates for installation and maintenance
  • Maintain and repair intrusion alarms, intercoms, and automatic door operators (asset)
