<p><h3>Job details</h3><p>Roquette Canada is seeking a dedicated and safety-focused 2nd Class Power Engineer to join our First Class power plant team. This role focuses on safe, efficient, and reliable plant operation, complying with safety and regulatory standards.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Operate and monitor boilers, turbines, compressors, and auxiliary equipment in a First Class power plant; conduct routine inspections and adjustments to maintain optimal operating conditions.</li><li>Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment to minimize downtime; diagnose operational issues and implement timely corrective actions.</li><li>Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (OH&S, TSSA); maintain accurate operation, maintenance, and safety logs.</li><li>Collaborate with engineers, operators, and maintenance personnel to ensure seamless plant operations; contribute to process improvements and plant optimization.</li><li>Respond to emergencies to prevent or minimize disruptions and ensure safety.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Valid 2nd Class Power Engineer certification (required); additional relevant certifications are an asset.</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in a power generation or industrial facility.</li><li>Strong knowledge of steam and power plant systems, control systems, and troubleshooting techniques; proficiency with CMMS and SCADA systems.</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance.</li><li>Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Commuter benefits</li><li>Dental care</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>On-site gym</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>RRSP match</li><li>Vision care</li><li>Wellness program</li></ul><p>Location: Portage la Prairie, MB (On site)</p><p>Salary: $75,000 - $110,000 per year</p><p>Employment type: Full-time</p><p>Starts: as soon as possible</p></p>Create Your Resume First
